It was truly a pleasure working with you, Larry. Thanks for all the work you did to make this panel successful – from the early contact to the continued evolution of the questions to the very fluid and professional facilitation. The seed dialog you distributed helped me orient my mind to the session. Your gentle guidance kept us dynamic rather than rehearsed.
Given my corporate and other professional roles, I have served on countless panels and delivered numerous keynotes over the past five years. In that time, I have seen the full gamut of moderators and facilitators. You are one of the two who stand above the rest in helping to take the session to a different level.

The Detroit Economic Club has programs that require a moderator and in October 2011 Larry moderated a "fireside chat" between the unique pairing of the CEOs of NYSE Euronext and Domino's Pizza. Larry's preparation was second to none and his line of questions were relevant and thoughtful. Larry's style as moderator was properly planned and executed to draw out meaningful discussion between the CEOs. A baseball umpire is said to have done a good job if he was not "seen" while he called a good game......Larry called a good game."

"At a recent meeting of the NEMA Wire and Cable Executives, Larry led a group discussion on Leadership and Change. Through thorough research, Larry was able to lead the group in relevant topics specific to their industry. Larry's natural and engaging style made all the participants feel comfortable about joining the conversation and offering their point of view. Larry's ability to be flexible and to think on his feet allowed him to successfully navigate through various roles from leader to observer to moderator. Larry's many years of experience with industry professionals was obvious in the way he skillfully interacted with a group of competitors who he got to openly share their thoughts on leadership in the wire and cable industry."

"Larry Fobes is a most intelligent, articulate, and charismatic talent as noted by his impressive work as a moderator and facilitator for all types of business topics. His demonstration of leadership and authority while moderating our Synergy Leaders Council meeting was nothing short of excellent. We highly recommend him to any corporate or media industry as a huge asset to their mission."

"Larry Fobes used his combined, and impressively strong, business knowledge and public speaking abilities to moderate and host several GlobalAutoIndustry.com live and web-cast seminars for top level members of the industry. He kept the day-long events exactly on schedule, provided meaningful and entertaining introductions that engaged our audiences, put our speakers at ease, and adeptly handled the Q&A. He consistently, and apparently effortlessly, interacted with our two audiences...people in the same room as the speaker and attendees participating on-line from around the world. His ratings by participants were consistently at the highest level and I personally believe his business knowledge and moderating skills were a major contributor to the success of these events."

I have worked with Larry Fobes, host and co-producer of the Leaders on Leadership show, over the past few years. On April 7, 2011 Larry moderated a forum presented at Wayne State University that was covered by C-SPAN. He displayed a high degree of thoughtfulness, skill, and agility in questioning a panel of five major national and state union leaders, including the president of the AFL-CIO and head of the United Auto Workers.
