Moderator of Panels, Programs, & Events

Panels and discussion forums can be rich sources of insights and learning, but they are often heavily scripted: Panelist 1 answers a question, then Panelist 2 answers the same question, and so forth.
I prefer a much different approach.
I lead discussions and moderate panels as "conversations". I do extensive research on the topic, and work with the participants and their staffs, to find the common ground they share on the topic. My questions are designed to lead the panel to have a conversation among themselves. When they react and expand off each other's comments, the magic happens.
I see my role as the instigator and guide to keep the conversation on topic. The panelists are the "stars" of the event.
